Quaint villages, medieval castles, mountainous landscape dotted with farmhouses and various shades of heather, tranquil highlands...if I could sum it up, the surroundings were reminiscent of Tolkien's Lord of The Rings. Scotland is all the countries of Middle-Earth rolled into one.
